Quran Reader for Ramadan
Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed. It is the most beloved time of year for Muslims around the world to read Quran online, complete a full recitation (khatm), and deepen their relationship with Allah's words. This guide gives you a practical daily plan and the tools to see it through.
Why Muslims Complete the Quran in Ramadan
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would revise the entire Quran with the Angel Jibreel every Ramadan. Scholars throughout history have encouraged Muslims to finish at least one complete recitation during this blessed month.
The Quran has 30 ajza (parts). Reading one juz per day — roughly 20 pages — completes the entire Quran by the end of the month. With a free Quran reader available on any device, there has never been an easier time to achieve this goal.
30-Day Ramadan Reading Plan
The plan below groups the 30 ajza into 10 three-day blocks, giving you a clear pace without committing to memorising exact juz boundaries.
| Period | Target |
|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Al-Fatiha → Al-Imran (Juz 1–3) |
| Days 4–6 | An-Nisa → Al-Maidah (Juz 4–6) |
| Days 7–9 | Al-An'am → Al-A'raf (Juz 7–9) |
| Days 10–12 | Al-Anfal → Hud (Juz 10–12) |
| Days 13–15 | Yusuf → Al-Isra (Juz 13–15) |
| Days 16–18 | Al-Kahf → Al-Anbiya (Juz 16–18) |
| Days 19–21 | Al-Hajj → An-Naml (Juz 19–21) |
| Days 22–24 | Al-Qasas → Al-Ahzab (Juz 22–24) |
| Days 25–27 | Saba → Az-Zumar (Juz 25–27) — Laylat al-Qadr's last 10 nights |
| Days 28–30 | Ghafir → An-Nas (Juz 28–30) |
One juz per day = approximately 20 pages or 10–20 minutes of reading.
Practical Tips for Reading Quran During Ramadan
- Read after Fajr. The early morning is quiet and the mind is fresh. Even 15 minutes is enough to complete half a juz.
- Read with translation. A Quran with translation keeps your mind engaged. Understanding the meaning prevents mechanical recitation.
- Use a Quran reader on your phone. You can read during commutes, lunch breaks, or while waiting. Having a free Quran reader in your pocket removes all excuses.
- Listen to Quran online. If reading feels difficult, follow along while you listen to Quran online from a reciter you find calming. This also improves your pronunciation.
- Track your progress. Use the bookmark feature in Nur to save your position after each session so you never lose your place.
- Make du'a before you start. Ask Allah to grant you understanding and make the reading easy. Consistency comes from sincerity, not willpower alone.
A Word of Encouragement
Every person who opens the Quran in Ramadan — even to read a single page — earns immense reward. If you miss a day, do not give up. Pick up from where you left off and continue. Allah knows your intention. The goal is not perfection; it is presence.
